The first international conference «Development of child protection system: National and international experience» in the series of conferences «Safe Belarus for Children» was held in Minsk on 21-23, April, 2010. The conference was held at the initiative of INGO «Ponimanie» under the auspices of the U.S. Embassy Small Grants in Minsk and The Department of Humanitarian Affairs of the Office of the President of the Republic of Belarus.
More than 160 people took part in the conference.

The conference titled "Development of a child protection system: national and international experience" will be held in Minsk on 22nd - 23rd April 2010. It will be the first conference in a series of annual conferences "Safe Belarus for children" that will be organized by NGO "Ponimanie". The aim of the conference is to improve the quality of assistance to children affected by violence, exploitation and trafficking. For this purpose, Belarusian specialists will be able to exchange professional experience with leading international experts.

The first web based education on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders in Russian language has been recently developed by the Prevent FAS Research Group.

Exhibition SALTY CHILDHOOD took place in April 11-15 of 2007 in the cinema "Pobeda" in Minsk. The aim of the exhibition was to raise public awareness to problems and feelings of abused children. The exhibition was carried out in the framework of the Universal April Week under Blue Ribbon - a week of protest actions against child abuse and neglect.
