Improving competencies of East-European professionals, who work with abused children, is realized through two-day trainings taking place twice a year in each country. Specific aspect of the year theme, group of professional participating and trainers are chosen by local coordinators of the project according to the identified shortcomings and weaknesses in the knowledge and skills of that group.

Training for psychologists in Moldova

In 2007 a group of 20 Moldovan psychologists were trained within two consecutive trainings regarding legal and clinical interviewing of abused children. The special focus during the training was put on the psychodiagnosis of the child and family and the application of various diagnostic techniques and development and use of genogram.

Trainings for prosecutors and judges in Moldova

25 prosecutors and 49 judges from Moldova were trained within a series of 3 trainings regarding assisting cases of child abuse. The participants of the trainings deepened their knowledge and received useful information on the following aspects:

 

 

 



Macedonian training for judges

In February 2008 14 Macedonian judges took part in the local training. The training was conducted by two psychiatrists who are experts in interviewing child witnesses and victims of crime.
