19 November: “Together, let us create a culture of prevention”

Today the World Day for Prevention of Child Abuse is being celebrated for the ninth time. It was launched in 2000 by the Women's World Summit Foundation in order to create a culture of prevention of child abuse, raise awareness, mobilise public opinion and disseminate successful child abuse prevention programmes.

International NGO coalition of 932 organizations from all over the world is commemorating the day by organizing activities focusing on violence prevention education.
