International supervision in Lithuania

On 4-5th of February 2011 Alicja Budzynska, psychologist from the Nobody's Children Foundation (Poland) held internation supervision for Lithuania's psychologists working with children -victims of sexual abuse. The topic was the clinical evaluation of children in cases of sexual abuse. In the supervision participated 22 lithuanian psychologists.

The campaign Your Honour I have the right not to be scared in Lithuania

The campaign "Your Honour, I have the right not to be scared" was launched during the National conference "Enhancing protection of children from the residential care institutions from sexual abuse in Lithuania. Interdisciplinary approach"" organized by the Children Support Center. It took place in Vilnius on 5th of November 2010. The aim of the campaign, it's goals and milestones were presented for 150 multi-disciplinary specialists participating in conference.

Report on the problem of child abuse

The report developed in 2010 by the Nobody's Children Foundation in the frame of the "Childhood without abuse" project compares the attitudes towards child abuse in 6 countries: Bulgaria, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland and Ukraine.

New project for foster care homes/orphanages in Lithuania

In September 2010 Children Support Centre started a new project for foster care homes/orphanages- „Safe children – safe home“. The purpose of the project is to empower foster care homes to implement prevention of abuse and intervene in child abuse cases. The project consists of several steps: 1) Preparation of the methodology of training for foster care home specialists and children from institutions 2) Trainings for specialists, who will become children safety trainers (3 groups, 48 specialists); 3) Trainings for all staff in every foster care home; 4 ) Safety trainings for children in every institution.
