Supervision by an international expert in Bulgaria

On the 11th of September 2006 there was a supervision by an international expert conducted in Bulgaria The supervision, carried out by Maria Keller-Hamela from Nobody's Children Foundation (Poland), was organized for representatives of government and non-government organizations working in the area of child protection - social workers, teacher, school principals and psychologists.



Local supervisions in Latvia

The first local supervision was organized on the 4th of December 2006 for 15 social workers dealing with children and families. During this supervision, led by a social worker Laila Balode from "Centre Dardedze", the following problems and topics were discussed:
• Role and responsibility of social worker and other involved actors (custody court, psychologist, etc.).
• The necessity of correct and timely information for successful case management, diagnoses and treatment.

The supervision for social workers assisting sexually abused children in Latvia

The supervision took place on 14th of November 2006 and was led by an international expert Alice Newman (principle therapist with the Lucy Faithfull Foundation). It was organized for 20 social workers dealing with sexually abused children in all regions of Latvia. It was the first international supervision for social workers, therefore social departments and crises centers were highly motivated to participate in it. There was recognized a problem that situation in Latvia and U.K.
