I am going to court promoted in Macedonia

On 2nd July 2008, promotion of the book "I am going to court" took place in Skopje, Macedonia. This event, launched by the First Children's Embassy in the World - Megjashi, Partner Organization in the Childhood without Abuse Project, gathered guests from government institutions and civil society sector.

Linka bezpeci gets 116 111 number

Recently the Czech National Regulatory Authority assigned common European child helpline number 116 111 to Linka bezpeci in the Czech Republic.

With their main donor Telefonica O2 the child helpline is preparing a billboard campaign to publicise the number to all children in the Czech Republic.

116 111 – new number for European child helplines

On 29 October 2007 the European Commission adopted the Decision 2007/689/EC recommending member states to reserve the number 116 111 for child helpline services on national levels. By adopting the Decision the European Commission recognized importance of the work child helplines provide to children in the European Union and the need to support them.

The CoE Convention on the Protection of Children against Sexual Abuse – regional conference in Athens

On 26 and 27 June second of the CoE regional conferences concerning sexual abuse of children took place in Athens, Greece.
The conference was a part of Europe wide action to encourage ratification of the Council of Europe Convention on the Protection of Children against Exploitation and Sexual Abuse.
